such a big girl...

Well, it is official, I am a big girl now, I can sit in the Bumbo chair. Today I sat on the kitchen counter and helped mom cook (ok, well, I learned more than helped but it was still fun!). Here are some pictures of me in my Bumbo and also with my new friend Bogan. He is a koala bear that my Aunt Erin sent me from her house, in Australia, he is great and has a very snazzy scarf (there is rumor that Moo is a little jealous but he shouldn't worry because he is still my favorite). I am also including what my dad calls my "Miami Vice picture" where I am sporting my 80's flipped collar and my nonchalant pose. Enjoy the pictures!

bailey and the parade...

I went to my first parade this past weekend and boy, that was fun. I took Moo with me so he could see what a parade was too. I sat in my stroller and like everything except for when the big fire trucks blew their air horns, that made me cry. So, here are some pictures from the weekend in which I also got to meet my grandpa Ken and grandma Christy this past weekend. I also have a small video on here of me and mom talking about the parade and if we (you know, me and Moo) had a good time. Enjoy!

new pictures of me...

Not too much to share today, just some new pictures of me. I have begun to really like my Boppy pillow, it is like a mini couch just for me, that's pretty cool! I have also discovered my fists and am having a great time sucking on them and trying to get just my thumb in my mouth...somtimes I miss my mouth and hit myself in the forehead or nose, you can see some small "accidents" on my face in some of the pictures where I missed my mouth but I know I will get it sooner or later! My Uncle Jesse visited (well, he's not actually my uncle but he is mom a dad's best friend and like a brother to mom, so he is my new uncle) and there's a picture of the two of us talking during breakfast. Well, I am off to lay on the boppy...have a great weekend!

bailey and the big city...

Mom and dad and I went to the big city of Chicago for two days. They call it the windy city but it really wasn’t all that windy, more hot and sticky than anything else really. I felt like a movie star because I got to eat in fancy restaurants and lots of people stopped to see me and talk to me on the sidewalks. We went to Michigan Ave, Rush Street, Greek town, and Chinatown. We went to a store that only sold cupcakes, not sure how that was since I am only allowed to eat my bottles. One night we stayed in a monastery and got to meet real, live monks. Brother Ignatius said I was a “cutie patootie”, whatever that means! I got to see the fish at the Shedd Aquarium and the best part of all was that I got to eat my bottle next to the sea otter’s house, they are pretty cute and look kind of like dogs, but they swim, I’m not sure how that works either – I still have a lot to learn but I am getting somewhat mobile without even crawling. Last night I did a complete 180 degree turn in my sleep, when my dad came to get me up this morning, I was facing the complete opposite direction of where he put me to sleep. I also like to turn sideways at night and hang my feet out of the crib, there’s a picture of that too for you. Well, I had a long couple of days and am still kind of tired so I am going to take a nap, bye!

baby blogger...

Hi, hope that you all had a great weekend. Here are some pictures from my weekend. I asked mom to take a picture of me working on my blog, dad has to hold me up to the table because I am not tall enough yet. I fell asleep, with Moo, before church on Sunday. You can see that I was making sure that the cat didn’t get Moo away from me, I held onto his ear while I slept just to be on the safe side. I also started eating some cereal to fill up my ever empty belly, here are some pictures of me showing you how very hungry I am and how messy I was with one of my first attempts at cereal. Wow, what an action packed weekend I had! It tires me out thinking about it so, I am off to bed. Good night!

bailey and her friend...

You have to excuse mom and dad, they learned how to make videos on their digital camera and then upload them to you tube...this is a great way for a lot of my family members who live far, far away to see me. I am sorry if all of the videos bore you but I think that I am pretty cute and entertaining - hopefully you will think so too and will enjoy watching me!

my trip to the doctor's office...

If you can read my onesie in the picture it says "Brand New". You can tell by my face that I don't agree with it, I mean come on, I've been around now for two whole months, I am not so brand new anymore! But, mom insisted on dressing me in it today. I went for my two month check up and got my shots, I didn't really enjoy those very much. I weigh 12 pounds, 8 ounces and the doctor said that is pretty sizeable for a two month old but, I am 24 inches long and he said that given how long I am, I am just the right weight. He said I am above average in length for my age and then he told mom and dad all the things I should start doing in the next month and guess what, they are things I already do…like grab and hold on to things, follow objects and people with my eyes and I have discovered my hands and boy, do I like to lick them!! So, that was my big day at the doctor’s office so I am pretty tired out and think I might go to bed, good night. (ps - I added a picture of me with my CoCo and Poppy on vacation so you could see us all looking pretty, my dress had fishes on it, wasn't that great since I was at the lake?!)

Bailey discovering Mr. Ceiling Fan...what fun!

more from vacation...

home from vacation...

Hi, I am home from vacation – wow, what a week. Mom and dad say I have changed so much, even in the last week. I now make all kind of wonderful sounds and laugh a lot and a lot more intentionally. I did a lot of things for the first time while on vacation, I learned to play cards, I got dunked in the pool which I didn’t really like all that much (I preferred sitting in my stroller and just looking at the water), I saw the biggest bath tub I have ever seen (although everyone else kept calling it the lake), and I discovered ceiling fans (which mom and dad think is great because I am amused for great lengths of time with this). Mom and dad went mini golfing one night at the Pirates Cove Golf Course and all that I got out of the deal was a pirate hat....arrrrr…do you like it? I loved my first vacation and here are some pictures to share with you.
