I will be going on vacation with my mom and dad so I won't have any new pictures for a while, but I am sure that when I get home there will be lots and lots of fun ones from the lake of me. today is a big day...

On Wed. night I slept almost the whole night, waking up at 4:30a for a feeding, mom and dad weren't sure if they should get excited about that or not. But then, last night, I went to bed at 9:30p and didn't wake up until 5:30a ...I slept all night long. Here is me being pretty excited about that (well, maybe not as excited as mom and dad but we don't have any pictures of them celebrating).

Mom and dad were trying to take our picture, just the three of us. They are so silly and they didn't do a very good job but, they did get a great close up of my eyes. I have my daddy's eyes and his wonderfully long eye lashes, mom was glad to get a close up picture of them.

bath tubs and ducks...

Here are a couple pictures of me at bath time, I am beginning to really like my baths, I get real excited when the water is poured on me! There are also some pictures of me in my little duck dress that my Nana Tygrett bought me. I think that I will pack it to take with me on vacation to wear out to dinner, we are going to the Lake of the Ozarks next week and I am pretty excited about going on my first family vacation.

Why my name is Bailey Harp...

How did I get my name? Why am I Bailey Harp? A lot of people have asked my mom and dad about my name, especially my middle name so I thought that I would tell you about it. My mom and dad really can’t put their finger on where they got the name Bailey from but it was something they both just really liked. I guess it is a good thing that I was a girl because although they had decided on a girl’s name, they were pretty undecided on a boy’s name.

My middle name is Harp and some people have asked if it is a family name but it isn’t. In college, my mom made a best friend and her name was Candace Harp. Candace, from what I hear, was pretty cool and had an incredible passion for life and was really outgoing and loving and fun and crazy and the most loyal friend a person could have. She died, unexpectedly and (after a long time of research and tests) unexplainably on May 14, 2002 (which, coincidently is the day I came home from the hospital to start my new life!). She was only in her early 20’s and working on her master’s degree at Kent State. So, in remembrance of her, my mom and dad gave me her last name as my middle name…I only hope I can live up to it and be half of the vivacious person she was!

Mom asked me to smile and here I am working up to it while CoCo holds me. I am a pretty happy baby, mom and dad say they are very blessed.

I had a big day yesterday, I went and met a lot of people that my mom and my Poppy work with, it was a big outing for me but I had a great time and even stayed awake for it! Here are a couple of pictures of me sleeping and also being very happy to get my diaper changed. Have a great weekend!

My "big sister" Danielle came and visited me today. She is my big sister because my mom and dad adopted her thru a mentoring program at church and she was their first experience at parenthood. They are pretty good at being a mom and a dad so I think that I have my big sister to thank for it. I took a nap on her - it was nice. She holds me at church on Sunday mornings too. I really like having a big sister, she is my friend!

Guess what Dad found last night, more camera batteries! He was in school all day yesterday so when he came home, he wanted to spend time with me and took some pictures. I thought I would put them here for you to enjoy.

a little of this and that...

I thought that I would check in after a long weekend visiting family (that’s why mom has taken a while to put up new pictures) and she wanted me to warn all of my faithful readers now, the camera battery died this morning so no new pics until she gets to Wal-Mart to buy a new one.

Here are some random pictures of me from the past couple of days. The one picture is of me in this silly hat that they dressed me up in to take me shopping, the ruffles were kind of distracting but gave me something to look at. I still don’t know if I like this hat wearing thing or not. Here are some pictures of me sleeping on the coach with my mom and some pictures with my dad, the first one is what I do to let mom and dad know that I am hungry and the other one is me, just loving my dad. Well, that’s about it for today, I need to get back to my swinging.

Hi, it's Saturday and I spent yesterday with my Coco and Aunt Cindy, this is the two of us and another picture of me and my friend Moo, he went with me to Coco's house this weekend. I think that he liked riding in the car, I like to ride in the car too, it usually puts me to sleep. I like meeting all of these new family members, last weekend I met my Nana Tygrett and my Aunt Hillary, I wonder who I will get to meet next weekend?

just swing'in...

Ahhhhh.....Ohhhhhhh.......these are my bears on my swing. I thought that you might like to meet them. I am pretty busy this weekend, my great aunt Cindy and cousin Bobby are visiting so I am spending time with them - grandma Coco and aunt Cindy are going to babysit me today so mom and dad can have some alone time, I'm not sure what that means but they seem to think it is a good thing. I also wanted to show you how excited I get when they put a bib on me and I realize it's time to eat, yum yum!

a visit to the doctor

I had my first trip to the doctor yesterday--and guess what?--I'm doing just fine. I'm a "growing" 9lbs. 6oz. and I've been gaining an ounce a day and my doctor says that's really great. I'm glad, because all that late night eating is actually doing me some good!

Here's some pictures of me before my big lunch date with Mom and Coco! We're going to Panera, which I hear is good but I don't think I'll eat anything there. Maybe a bottle? I'm always up for that!

This is me with my family being dedicated. Don't I look like a doll in my special dress that my Nana Tygrett made me? I loved my dress and being the center of attention...we even had cake to celebrate!
